Muslim Websites Still Targettting Christians

A week ago we reported on an internet site that was tracking Christians who were bold enough to say things that Muslims believe is blasphemy. It seems that this thing is a bit more common than we had originally thought. Another site is now doing the same thing. From Internet Hagganah commenting on a page that lists targets:

...each paragraph starts with the target's chatroom nickname, followed by whatever personal information has been gathered about the target, e.g.

- one is a Taxi driver who used to live in Egypt but he left the country

- another is believed to be a dentist, likes to argue with Hamas sympathizers

- one lives in America and he is "worse than the Americans themselves..."

- two others are "Christians from Syria"

Daveed Gartenstein-Ross comments on why this is so frightening:
Another page on Barsoom features rulings on those who curse God's prophet....For example, the page of religious rulings states that "the one who curses God deserves death." Another ruling states, "The one who curses God, his Prophet and [the Prophet's] companions or successors has denied the Qur'an and should be killed. Also anyone who defames Aisha, the Mother of the Believers. And they should have their heads cut off."
In light of the mass murder of a Coptic Christian family in New Jersey, web threats which target individuals need to be looked into by law enforcement agencies. Hossam Armanious, his wife, and his two daughters, age 16 and 8, were found brutally murdered in their home on Jan. 14th. Mr. Armanious was an Egyptian Christian who spent his spare time at the PalTalk website speaking out against Muslim persecuation of Christian Copts in Egypt. He had been singled out and threatened online for his criticism.

In the last several days the family and their representatives have spoken out. The NY Sun (via Robert Spencer) reports today that the families believe the most probable method and motive for the slayings is a ritual murder for religious reasons. And yesterday a spokesperon for Christian Solidarity International issued the following statement on the Armanious family murder:

From the perspective of ethnic and religious minorities who have fled religious persecution and violence by Jihadists in their native countries, this case is unnerving. Many non-Muslim immigrants have told me that they believed that when they fled to the United States from these pressures, they would be safe. This case has made them feel vulnerable. More than any other group, the Coptic community hopes that their fears are proven wrong, and that this was not religiously motivated or an act of micro-terrorism by extremists.
To show my solidarity with those who are being hunted down by good Muslims bent on following Allah's will by killing those that blaspheme Allah, Muhammed, or Aisha I offer the following statement.

There is no god named Allah and Muhammed is not a prophet. In fact, Muhammed was a child-molesting mass murder. Aisha? Nothing more than the victim of pedophelia with a bit of Stockholm syndrome.

Issue a fatwa against me. I dare you.

White Trash Wednesday: Glenn Reynolds Edition

Howdy folks. Today is White Trash Wednesday.

For today's edition of WTW I sent my pet Jawa poking around Glenn Reynolds' garbage to see what I could come up with. Why pick on Glenn Reynolds? Well, yesterday amidst all the major linkage from certain lefty site Glenn gave the Jawa Report an Instalanche. Then Glenn decided to 'fix' the link. That giant sucking sound you heard was all the traffic going away. You might just say Rusty is a bit pissed off.

Sour grapes? Maybe. But I guess after getting so many links in the past 24 hours you'd think I was satisfied? Isn't a link from Hugh Hewitt, Jeff Jarvis, Charles Johnson, Pandagon, and Eschaton enough? No!!!

Now, some may say that's a sure sign of an Indian giver. But did you ever pause to think who made up that term Indian giver? Yup, white trash.

Does Glenn Reynold's come from a long line of people of the earth? That's what we sent our crack reporters to find out.

Here is the evidence.

Exhibit A: Glenn Reynold's teaches in Tennessee. That's right, Tennessee. You don't get more bubba than Tennessee.

Exhibit B: We sent out our young intern Clarice to interview famous psychologist and serial killer, Dr. Hannibal Lecter. "Was our hunch about Glenn right?" she asked. In the process, we uncovered a little more information than we were after. But hey, I hear that in the hills it is considered perfectly normal for young boys to experiment with each other--as long as they are kissin cousins. This is what he had to say about Glenn Reynold's roots:

You know what Glenn looks like to me, with his good blog and his cheap shoes? He looks like a rube. A well scrubbed, hustling rube with a little taste. Good nutrition has given him some length of bone, but he's not more than one generation from poor white trash, is he, Instapundit? And that accent he's tried so desparately to shed? Pure West Virginia. What's his father, dear? Is he a coal miner? Does he stink of the lamp? You know how quickly the boys found him... all those tedious sticky fumblings in the back seats of cars...while he could only dream of getting out... getting anywhere... getting all the way to the University of Tennessee.
Exhibit C: Our young Paduan learner followed Glenn around for bit and snapped these photos. Damning, to say the least.

Image 1: Here is a candid shot of Glenn in his office at UT. Notice the NASCAR screensaver? A sure sign of his white-trash roots.

Effigy 'Vandal' Charged: Candlelight Vigil Tonight

The effigy that offended me so much that I publicly called on the good people of Sacramento to commit an act of vandalism is down again.

Digger tells me that the first 'vandal' has been charged after he turned himself in. That man is a great American.

Digger has more.

Let me make myself clear: I consider the act of vandalism which took down that effigy an act of courage and an act of civil disobedience.

A candlelight vigil is planned
tonight by Move America Forward to protest this outrage.

Sgrena Update: Where is the Outrage Over Roy Hallums?

Turkish Hostage Released After Ransom Paid

AP:

Kidnappers have released a wealthy Turkish businessman after holding him hostage in Iraq for two months, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

Kahraman Sadikoglu, president of the Istanbul-based Tuzla Shipyard, was released late Monday, and flown to Baghdad after spending the evening at a British base in southern Iraq, a Foreign Ministry official said. He was scheduled to return to Turkey later Tuesday through Jordan.

The ministry official did not give further details, but newspaper reports said Sadikoglu was released after his family paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in ransom.

It must be a terribly difficult situation to be in having a loved one held hostage. On the one hand, there is the need of the family to see their family members returned home safe and sound. On the other hand, the act of paying ransom may have the effect of inspiring other groups to try the same tactic.

Outting Bloggers: Atrios' Gay Singles Ad Revealed

***EXCLUSIVE*** ***MUST CITE THE JAWA REPORT***

Duncan Black seems to be obsessed with outting gay Republicans. I haven't spoken on the outting of Jeff Gannon because so many other bloggers have been doing a good job of following the story. Bill at INDC offers a comprehensive roundup of the story here. Captain Ed and Ace put it all into perspective.

Kevin at Wizbang offers the excellent insight that Duncan "Atrios" Black's employer, Media Matters, is also obsessed with outting gay Republicans. But is the political angle the real reason why Atrios is so obsessed? Maybe something else is going on here? Something far more personal?

With this in mind I sicked The Jawa Report's gay intern, Bill Dauterive, on the case. He found this at Gay Singles Online. Is the following link to an ad by Duncan Black? You be the judge.

Atrios' online gay singles advertisement? CLICK HERE

Critical Update 2/17: From this post---Is Al Gore Jeff Gannon's gay hooker John?

Critical Update so Critical that it is Critical that I put it right smack in the middle of the post: Sobekepundit, as the responsible citizen journalist that he is responds to Goldstein's call for 'MORE GAY PORN' has uncovered the original photo, which 'proves' that Atrios is gay!!

Bill at INDC also uncovers this super-secret DaVinci code revelation. Why did I do this post? Because Goldstein asked for MORE GAY WITCH HUNTING! THE FUTURE OF THE REPUBLIC DEPENDS UPON IT!

UPDATE: Commissar chimes in. Pennywit has more (via Bill)

UPDATE II: Linked by Duncan "I'm not obsessed with outting gay Republicans 'Atrios' you're the one who is obsessed" Black. Update within and update: And now by Pandagon. Welcome leftwingers! Yes, this is how the rest of America thinks......

UPDATE III: Check out comments by the many Eschaton readers and tell me which side of the blogosphere is more uptight?

UPDATE IV: For those of you who are new here, howdy from Jesus-land!! Yes, this is pretty jeuvenile humor. One might even call it trite. I wonder which is more trite? Outting an insignificant gay hack of a reporter, or poking fun at Atrios??????

UPDATE V: Since so many of have said that I 'just don't get it' and this whole thing is really about 'hypocrisy', Jeff G is spot on with this answer (READ IT ALL):

This is about nothing more than hypocrisy (though don’t press me on specifics, because I’m not sure how, exactly, opposing gay marriage and hating gays are equivalent) and an orchestrated hit on Valerie Plame—and of course making sure those who have access to the White House press room are PURE AND OBJECTIVE—PARAGONS OF JOURNALIST VIRTUE!

Yet another update: Identity theft & satire--related.

CRITICAL UPDATE: Eschaton readers threaten lawsuit against Jawa Report!!

I would get ready for a lawsuit sir. Your attempt to discredit Atrios by manufacturing a online ad was a really dumb move on your part. This is easily traceable and its already been placed on you. Thats clearly a defamation suit. Its coming sir.
Um, attention idiots. Last time I checked humor and satire were protected speech---even if done in poor taste. Duncan 'not gay' Black's name is not even used in the advertisement. His e-mail is not used either.

What a bunch of whiny little bitches for readers.......I'm not trying to discredit Atrios by this ad. What I'm attempting to do is make fun of him and all of you who think it is the height of muckraking to out someone.

Another critical update: Atrios e-mails me:

they have no standing to sue you
Thank you Duncan, who I might ad is NOT GAY!!!

Critical Snarky Sarcasm Update: *Disclosure for Eschaton readers--the following is offered by Ace of Spades Headquarters and is 'satire'. Read the whole thing:

Let me tell you something: Jeff Gannon is the straightest, most masculine man I've ever met. He is all-man, straight as an arrow (a very heterosexual arrow, let me add), even when he pounds me up the man-pooter every alternate Thursday.
Critical Snarky Sarcasm Update Within a Snarky Sarcasm Update: Jeff G has more on Gannon-Cock-Gate
THE WASHINGTON POST IS AN ORGAN OF THE RIGHT WING! TOM MAGUIRE IS A ROVE-CREATED CYBORG! BUSHCO WANTS TO INTER THE GAYS SO THAT JOHN DERBYSHIRE CAN BEAT THEM WITH A BIBLE!
STOP THE MADNESS!Update for the Eschaton reader who just signed me up on about 50 different spam sites and openned a Netflix account in my name. Thanks a lot, I sure hope they have that gay-porn director's cut of F-911!Critical Postscript to the Critical Updates to the first PS--thanks to all the commenters who have attempted to 'keep it real'!! (Traffic Jam!)

Last Update Before I Go Home and Order Me Up One of them Gay Prostitutes: All of the lefty commenters keep telling me that I 'just don't get the significance of the thing'. Press release from Democrats.com telling me the significance (via Instapundit):

Did George W. Bush Have S*x with That Man, James Guckert?
Because serious journalists want to know........

Holder of Edward Said Chair to Lecture NY Children

Edward Said was the man most responsible for making anti-Semitism acceptable among the intellectual elite. NY Sun:

A Columbia University professor who has called Israel a "racist" state with an "apartheid system," and who has supported attacks by Palestinian-Arabs on Israelis, is scheduled to lecture a group of New York City public school teachers on how to teach Mideast politics to schoolchildren.

The professor, Rashid Khalidi, is director of the Middle East Institute at Columbia University. His professorship is named in memory of Edward Said, a divisive scholar, and is paid for in part with a donation from the United Arab Emirates. ht:Robert Spencer

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I'm off to make sure Mrs. Shackleford is a happy camper. Let me just leave you with this history lesson.

Can you tell me which factoid reminds me of the Religion of Peace? From Catholic.org:

Valentine was a holy priest in Rome, who, with St. Marius and his family, assisted the martyrs in the persecution under Claudius II. He was apprehended, and sent by the emperor to the prefect of Rome, who, on finding all his promises to make him renounce his faith in effectual, commended him to be beaten with clubs, and afterwards, to be beheaded, which was executed on February 14, about the year 270.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.....

Did the Founding Fathers Warn us Against the Jews?

One of the myths propogated by the Arab press is that Benjamin Franklin was an anti-Semite. In fact, the famous document known as "The Franklin Prophecy" was a fabrication of the Nazis. It first appeared in the book A Handbook on the Jewish Question in 1935. There is a good debunking of the myth here.

I have seen the quotes attributed to Franklin from a number of Islamist sources. MEMRI has the latest on the vile distortions latest iteration:

"Noble readers, this document exposes the truth. Had the rulers of America been a good second generation to their predecessors, America would not today have become hostage to the Jews' policy, and Washington would not be aiding Tel Aviv in its satanic spirit.

"I have no more accurate explanation [for what is happening today] than the content of this document, which spells out America's situation with the Jews today with great accuracy, letter by letter and moment by moment.

"O late American president [Benjamin Franklin]! If only you could see what has happened to your people, and how your prophecy – about the establishment of a country of devils at the expense of your wretched people – has come true!"

Libertarian Girl's True Identity Found

****Exclusive**** ***Must Cite Jawa Report****

I have found an actual pic of Libertarian girl!!!

I've been saying for over a year now that the best way to get readers is to blog as if you're a woman. But not just any woman, a hot woman. My now defunct Hot Iraqi Chick blog was proof that geeky men on computers are suckers for a blogger with boobs.

'Amanda Doerty', of Hot Abercrombie Chick fame, originated the scam. Recently I accused Witty Sex Kitten of running the same scam, but a buddy of mine assured me that she was real and says 'and I should know', wink-wink.

It turns out that an on again off again commenter here at the Jawa, Libertarian Girl, is also pulling the old "Hot Lesbo Star Wars Chick Pundit" scam. Remember, boobs = clicks. Catallarchy (via Wizbang) did some digging. The image on the left is of "Libertarian Girl" and the one of the right is from a Russian Mail Order Bride service. The thing is, I actually tried to get a buddy of mine to hook up with 'her'!!

libertariangirl.jpg russianbride.jpg

Using the infinite resources of the VRWC, I have uncovered the true identity of both Libertarian Girl and the Mail Order Bride!!! more...

Sgrena Hostage Hoax Update

As predicted, Giuliana Sgrena's Italian Communist newspaper Il Manifesto condemns hostage taking. Yes, taking their employee was bad. Of course, that is not nearly as bad as the US occupation. Background on why this whole thing is a farce here. Translation from the terrorist supporting site Uruknet:

"Truly moving is the involvement of the Iraqi people in Giuliana Sgrena's ordeal," writes Il Manifesto's correspondent from Baghdad, Stefano Chiarini. "Suffering daily abuses and violence from occupation forces or their proxies, the Iraqis themselves are subjected to routine hostage-taking by the occupiers. If the father is not at home, they arrest his son, or brother, or other relative. Under the pretext of looking for arms, American soldiers and their Iraqi trainees look for jewels and money . And, yet, the whole country has mobilised for the liberation of Giuliana."
Sgrena comes from a long line of anti-Americans. As reported in the previous story, her father is a member of the Communist party. The report also confirms that she was a sixties radical opposed to all US efforts since her days in college.

Blast in Phillipines Kills Seven

The Religion of Peace sends a Valentines gift to the good people of Manila. Reuters:

Explosions in the business district of the Philippine capital and two southern cities have killed at least seven people and wounded more than 100, with besieged Muslim rebels claiming two of the attacks.

The three blasts came within an hour of one another on Monday as people were leaving work or going out for a romantic meal on Valentine's Day.

"The ground was shaking," said a man in the southern city of General Santos after four people were killed in a blast at a shopping mall.

"The people were screaming and running in all directions."

Effigy Maker on US Troops: "I hope they all die"

The effigy of a US soldier hanging in front of a Sacramento home is back. Digger has some exclusive details. Here is a shocker: Steve and Virginia Pearcy, the couple responsible for this vile act, actually reside in Berkeley. This is a second home. More from Digger:

When confronted on whether he hopes all the soldiers over there are killed Steve was shown on video saying sarcastically "of course I hope they die, I hope they all die".
Tearing down an effigy on someone else's property is vandalism. Hanging an effigy of a US soldier on your property is treason. Which is the worse crime?
